Water Pollution - What You Can Do

Instead of pouring chemicals down the drain, people need to dispose of them properly.  People should buy biodegradable or environmentally friendly soap and other cleaners. They fix leaky pipes and faucets to reduce the possibility of corrosion, which leads to water contamination.  They should take used motor oil to recycling centers and limit the amount of fertilizers and pesticides used. Furthermore, people can purchase organic materials to further decrease the amount of harmful pollutants placed in the water system.
